New Team in Place at Ways and Means Press Office

Christin Tinsworth Named Deputy Director of Communications

Washington, DC Christin Tinsworth has joined the Committee on Ways and Means as Deputy Director of Communications. She is the most recent addition to the Ways and Means press office.

In the past month, Barbara Clay has come on board as Director of Communications, and Mark Gundersen joined the Committee as press secretary.

Ways and Means Chairman Bill Thomas said, "Christin has a unique blend of communications and legislative experience. With nearly five years on Capitol Hill, she will also bring strong institutional knowledge to her position."

Prior to joining Chairman Thomas' staff, Ms. Tinsworth served as communications director for Rep. Anne M. Northup of Louisville, Kentucky. She also has served as press secretary for Citizens for a Sound Economy and as press secretary and legislative assistant for Rep. Dan Miller of Bradenton, Florida. Ms. Tinsworth graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1993.
