Thomas Statement on Changes to Bush Economic Team

WASHINGTON - Today, Bill Thomas (R-CA), Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, issued the following statement on changes to President Bush’s economic team:

“Ultimately, this is the President’s economic team, and I will support the President and his goals. My job as Ways and Means Chairman is to work with the Administration to ensure Americans have the best tax and economic policy. It is my hope that the new economic team will be in place when Congress returns in January so we can get to work on generating economic growth and job creation.”
