Chairman Rangel Statement on Filing of Health Reform Manager’s Amendment
Congress is one crucial step closer to achieving reform to lower costs and give all Americans access to affordable, high-quality care

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charles B. Rangel (D-NY) issued the following statement in response to yesterday’s filing of the Manager’s Amendment to H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act:

“Filing of the Manager’s Amendment brings us one crucial step closer to achieving meaningful health insurance reform for American families, seniors and businesses,” said Ways and Means Chairman Charles B. Rangel (D-NY).  “The Amendment reflects Congress’ tremendous efforts and commitment to reform America’s health care system, by building on what works, so that we can lower costs over the long term and give all Americans the peace of mind that they will have access to affordable, reliable, high-quality health care.”
