After the Bureau of Labor Statistics released its August Producer Price Index (PPI) reporting that wholesale prices rose by 8.7 percent from the previous year, Ways and Means Republican Leader Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) issued the following statement:

“Inflation continues to rage for businesses, which is bad news for consumers who understand higher prices are here to stay.

“While working families skip meals and delay retirement, President Biden is partying at the White House with his Democrat allies in Congress who fueled this inflation and continue to do so with the latest $700 billion spending spree.

“President Biden is tone-deaf, and just keeps kicking the little guy in America when they’re down.”
