Trade

 The Subcommittee on Trade is responsible for matters related to international trade, including customs, tariffs, the negotiation and implementation of reciprocal trade agreements, and international trade rules and organizations.   Its jurisdiction covers import trade matters, including unfair import practices and antidumping and countervailing duty provisions of U.S. trade remedies laws, import policy which relates to dependence on foreign sources of   supply, and adjustment assistance and programs to encourage competitive responses to imports.  The Trade Subcommittee also addresses special trade-related problems involving market access, competitive conditions of specific   industries, export policy and promotion, access to materials in short supply, bilateral trade relations including trade with developing countries, and trade with non-market economies.  The Subcommittee oversees the budget   authorizations for the customs revenue functions of the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).
