Washington, DC – Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee Ranking Member Kevin Brady (R-TX) today issued the following statement in response to the announcement that the U.S. won its case against the European Union for unfairly providing subsidies to Airbus which violated World Trade Organization Rules.
“Yesterday’s historic victory is great news for American businesses and workers. This case, originally brought in 2004 by President Bush, sends a strong signal that unfair trade practices will not go unchallenged and provides the United States with greater leverage in pressuring the EU to end illegal subsidies for Airbus once and for all.”
