WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement in response to the Department of Labor’s March 2017 jobs report:

“It’s clear there is a lot of work to do to strengthen our economy, and it starts with overhauling our uncompetitive tax code. Ways and Means Republicans continue to work with President Trump and his economic team to deliver the most pro-growth tax reform possible—making America one of the best places in the world to work, invest, and create jobs. The American people are ready to be in the lead again. And with President Trump’s leadership, pro-growth tax reform will get us there.”

Note: The Department of Labor reported today the economy added 98,000 jobs in March and the unemployment rate is 4.5 percent.
