WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Ways and Means Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Peter Roskam (R-IL) announced today that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing on tax reform ideas that simplify our broken tax code, reduce the burdens on American families and individuals, and deliver economic growth that creates jobs and improves the quality of life of all Americans. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, July 19, in 1100 Longworth House Office Building at 2:00 PM.
Upon announcing the hearing, Chairman Roskam said:
“America’s families and individuals deserve a simple and fair tax code that works for them. That’s why we’re taking action to overhaul today’s broken tax code – so hardworking Americans can spend less time and money on taxes and have more time and money to spend on what matters most to them. We look forward to hearing from people about how to do just that as we work toward a 21st century tax code that will improve the lives of all Americans.”
