Washington, D.C. – Today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after Republican Members of the Committee met with Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar regarding the Administration’s priorities, including reducing the cost of prescription drugs:
“We appreciate the work the Trump Administration and Secretary Azar are doing to improve health care for the American people, including making prescription drugs more affordable and more accessible. Already, 60 percent fewer brand-drug price increases have occurred than in the same period in 2017. I look forward to continue working with the Administration to lower costs and strengthen the doctor-patient relationship for all Americans.”
