Washington, D.C. – Today, the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after the Administration finalized rules surrounding health reimbursement arrangements (HRA), making it easier for small- and mid-sized businesses to offer health care benefits to their employees:
“Just one day after House Democrats held their third hearing on so-called ‘Medicare-for-all’ that eliminates patient choice, I am encouraged that President Trump and his Administration are increasing options that make it easier for small businesses to help their employees pay for health care. Building on work done by Members on the Ways and Means Committee, the rule released today will benefit Main Street businesses and their workers the most. Under this new rule, workers will now be able to buy insurance that better fits their needs and their families’ needs. This is a positive step towards giving families more control over their health care dollars – a goal Republicans have long supported.”
