WASHINGTON, D.C. –The Senate must follow the House of Representatives’ lead and swiftly enact, H.R. 1156, the Pandemic Unemployment Fraud Enforcement Act, before the statute of limitations expires on March 27^th to ensure criminals that stole pandemic-era unemployment insurance (UI) benefits are prosecuted and recoup potentially hundreds of billions of tax dollars, according to key advocacy groups supporting the legislation.
