Washington, D.C. – Today, the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) announced a change to his senior staff team for the Committee, naming Molly Fromm as General Counsel.
Upon making this announcement, Rep Brady said:
“It is an honor to welcome Molly to our Committee. A respected veteran of Capitol Hill, Molly has an extensive policy background and has worked for many of the House’s most important Committees – including as General Counsel for fellow Texans, Chairman Hensarling and Chairman Smith. We are excited that Molly is joining our staff, and she will play a crucial role as Ways and Means Republicans continue to promote policies that further grow our economy.”
Fromm most recently served as Chief Counsel to the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee for Ranking Member Frank Lucas (R-OK). Prior to that, Fromm served as General Counsel and Parliamentarian to the House Financial Services Committee for Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), and in the same position at the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee for Chairman Lamar Smith (R-TX).
Earlier, she worked for Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) as well as Ranking Member Tom Davis (R-VA) on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee as a Professional Staff Member, handling health care issues before becoming the Committee’s Deputy General Counsel and Parliamentarian. Fromm received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her JD from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law.
