Washington, D.C. – On Wednesday, the House Committee on Ways and Means will hold an executive session to review sensitive materials protected by section 6103 of the tax code. The materials follow previous Committee action that made public testimony from two IRS whistleblowers alleging political interference in the investigation of Hunter Biden. Chairman Jason Smith (MO-08) issued the following statement:
“After releasing IRS testimony detailing both the Biden family influence peddling scheme and the Department of Justice’s political interference into the investigation, the Ways and Means Committee has received more material that it will review in Wednesday’s executive session. We believe this material is vital to understanding efforts by top officials to protect Joe Biden.”
