Brady Statement on September 2018 Jobs Report

October 5, 2018 — Press Releases

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement in response to the Labor Department’s September 2018 jobs report:

“With over 1.8 million jobs created since President Trump signed our new tax code into law, more and more of our families truly are #BetterOffNow. House Republicans showed our commitment to keep our economy moving forward by voting last week to make these tax cuts permanent – and we won’t stop there. Our pro-growth agenda has recharged this economy for the better, and we will never stop working to ensure America remains the best place in the world for workers and Main Street businesses.”

Note: The U.S. Department of Labor reported today that the economy added 134,000 jobs in September and the unemployment rate was 3.7 percent, the lowest level since December 1969.
