WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement regarding Rep. Dave Reichert’s (R-WA) announcement that he will retire from Congress at the conclusion of the 115th Congress:

It’s been an honor to serve alongside him on the Ways and Means Committee. From tax policy to child welfare to complex issues on international trade, Dave is an outstanding leader. That is especially true when it comes to his work as Chairman of the Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee, where he continues to fight for pro-growth trade policies that benefit all Americans. Dave is a devoted public servant, an accomplished legislator, and a dear friend.
