Washington, D.C. – The top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement in response to the Labor Department’s June jobs report:

“Reopening the economy responsibly is vital to help Americans return to their lives.

“With 4.8 million jobs added in June on top of the 2.7 million jobs added in May, we’ve smashed expectations and are on the right track.

“States and local businesses can work together to achieve healthy lives and a healthy economy.”
