December 20, 2017 — Press Releases

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives voted to give its final approval of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, officially sending this historic tax reform legislation to President Trump’s desk. Upon passage, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) issued the following statement:

“With today’s vote, the House officially sends historic, transformational tax reform to President Trump’s desk. This is an incredibly exciting day for the American people, who have waited years – even decades – for a simpler, fairer tax code that will grow our economy and allow them to keep more of their hard-earned money. For the first time in three decades, Americans will finally have a tax code that delivers more jobs, fairer taxes, and bigger paychecks to people and families across our nation. That’s great news for people in my home state of Texas and all Americans.”
