Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Buchanan Announces Hearing on Tax Reform and Small Businesses: Growing Our Economy and Creating Jobs

May 16, 2018 — Hearing Advisory    — Press Releases

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Committee on Ways and Means Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Vern Buchanan (R-FL) announced today that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing on how tax reform is helping small businesses grow their operations and invest in local communities and workers. The hearing will be the second in a series on the effects of tax reform. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in 1100 Longworth House Office Building, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Upon announcing the hearing, Chairman Buchanan said:

“Small businesses create most of the jobs in this country. When small businesses succeed, the American people succeed. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act’s pro-growth policies will help them compete with larger corporations, grow their businesses, and reinvest in the economy. I look forward to hearing directly from the small business community about the ways that tax reform is helping them expand and invest in their workers.”
