Here’s what Rep. Hill said:

“Hey, we’re in Conway, Arkansas – this is Congressman French Hill. I’m with my good friend Rachael Cox, and we’re at Conway Machines and Bison Pumps.

“We’re just talking about manufacturing, but today, Rachael and I were talking about the American tax code and how complicated it is.

“It’s 70,000 pages. And a lot of people think if we can lower rates and redesign that tax code to make it simpler, we’d make American business more competitive both here at home and around the world.

“We’re talking about trying to create a more competitive tax code for businesses operating in the U.S. and American businesses selling around the world. And it was a real treat to have my friend Rachael Cox – here at Conway Machines – visiting about that.

“Hope you will visit the House Ways and Means website and make your views on how to make our tax system more competitive.”
