WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Chairman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) announced today that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled “Preserving and Strengthening Medicare” on Wednesday, March 16th at 10:00 AM in room 1100 of the Longworth House Office Building. At the hearing, Members will discuss ways to put Medicare on a sustainable path for all generations and keep it from going bankrupt.
Upon announcing the hearing, Chairman Tiberi said:
“Nearly 125,000 seniors in my home district, including my parents, are eligible for Medicare. One of my top priorities is to ensure seniors in Ohio and across the country continue to have choice and access to the same high quality care. That’s why my Ways and Means colleagues and I are working toward commonsense solutions that will preserve and strengthen Medicare not only for our parents and grandparents, but also for our children and grandchildren. Next week’s discussion is a critical step in our effort.”
