Camp Statement on Senate Action to Advance Tax Reform

June 27, 2013 — Press Releases

Washington, D.C. – Today, Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) issued the following statement after the announcement that Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and Ranking Member Orrin Hatch (R-UT) are seeking input from their colleagues in the U.S. Senate on issues critical to advancing tax reform.

“Today’s announcement by Chairman Baucus and Senator Hatch is welcome news for Americans who deserve a simpler, flatter, fairer tax code that leads to more jobs and higher wages.  This significant step forward underscores that the Senate and House are on the same page as they work in a bicameral, bipartisan manner to fix our broken tax code.”
