On the Road Again

History Shows Obama’s Road Tour Not Likely to Lead to New Jobs
October 18, 2011 — The Jobs Search

The President hits the road again today to promote his “jobs plan.”  The bus tour, which he boarded after arriving on Air Force One, comes only a week after a stinging bipartisan rejection of Obama’s jobs plan in the Senate.  On this leg of the tour, he will make stops in both Virginia and North Carolina, after hitting Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois in August.  While the President is expected to argue for his latest jobs plan, as the chart below shows, history has proven that his promises of job creation often fall far short of reality.
