WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) announced today that the Committee’s first hearing of the year is postponed until Tuesday, February 2nd at 10:00 AM. The hearing will focus on reaching America’s potential through pro-growth policies that deliver opportunities for all Americans.
“Our economy still isn’t performing anywhere even close to its potential. Wages remain too low, poverty is stubbornly high, and too many Americans in the prime of their lives are sitting on the sidelines.
“Ways and Means Committee members refuse to settle for the slow growth status quo. Our first hearing of the year will focus on our pro-growth ideas and policies that will help create jobs, increase paychecks, and expand opportunities for all Americans.”
The hearing will be held in the Ways and Means Committee room at 1100 Longworth.
