“The reported premium increases are unacceptable. Unfortunately, the reforms Democrats in Congress are pursuing would actually make the current situation worse by making coverage more expensive. By contrast, House Republicans have offered the only plan that the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office confirms would bring down the cost of coverage across the board. President Obama and the Democrats need to scrap their $1 trillion government takeover of health care and focus their efforts on passing reforms that deliver what the American people want — lower premiums.”
