Washington, D.C. – Ways and Means Trade Subcommittee Ranking Member Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX), today issued the following statement after House passage of H.R. 4380, U.S. Manufacturing Enhancement Act of 2010:
“Two things are very clear: House Republicans don’t consider tariff suspensions to be earmarks, and Democrats – when they choose to – can produce strong, unified support for trade legislation.
“Now that the Democrats have proved they can support a pro-trade bill, I look forward to working with my colleagues to move forward with pending trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea.”
