Washington, DC – Upon release of the third quarter GDP data this morning, Ways and Means Ranking Member Dave Camp (R-MI) issued the following statement:

“The so-called stimulus bill has failed to create the economic growth and jobs the Administration promised.  Given the Administration’s expansion of government, funded by a massive run-up in deficit spending and with a looming $3.8 trillion tax hike just two months away, it is no wonder businesses large and small are frozen by uncertainity and are holding back.  In order to create the private sector jobs Americans desperately need, we must prevent a job-killing tax hike and act immediately to get spending under control.”
