In one of the clearest signals yet that small business has yet to warm to the president’s latest jobs proposal, a new survey reveals that more than two-thirds of small business owners do not believe that passage of the president’s plan would change their plans to hire. In a recent MSNBC interview National Small Business Association president Todd McCracken emphasized that hiring is a long-term commitment and noted that, “this particular plan wouldn’t encourage them to hire, especially because it’s a temporary tax cut.”
