WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Ways and Means Tax Policy Subcommittee Chairman Charles Boustany (R-LA) today announced that the Subcommittee will hold a Member Day Hearing on Tax Legislation. The hearing is an opportunity for Members on both sides of the aisle to present their ideas to improve the tax code. It will take place on Thursday, May 12th at 10:00 AM in room 1100 of the Longworth House Office Building.
Upon announcing the hearing, Subcommittee Chairman Boustany said:
“Our Members have invested a great deal of time and energy to develop legislation that we can use to make our current tax code work better for all Americans. This hearing is a welcome opportunity for all Members to bring forward those ideas.“
Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) added:
“Many of our colleagues have introduced legislation to improve the tax code, and I encourage them to share those ideas with the Committee. We need to do everything we can to fix the broken tax code.”
