WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Chairman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) today announced that the Subcommittee will hold a Member Day hearing entitled “Tax-Related Proposals to Improve Health Care.” The hearing will take place on Tuesday, May 17, at 10:00 AM in room 1100 of the Longworth House Office Building. This hearing will be an opportunity for members of both parties to present their proposals for improving our health care system through the tax code.
Upon announcing the hearing, Chairman Tiberi said:
“Many provisions in our tax code have made it difficult for Americans to access the health care they want and need. Last month, our Committee started a robust conversation about how we can modernize the tax code to deliver the high-quality, affordable, portable health care options Americans deserve. Our members have worked diligently to develop and advance commonsense solutions that modify the tax code to improve our health care system. I look forward to hearing from them next week.”
