Brady Statement on Rep. Lynn Jenkins’s Decision to Retire After 115th Congress

January 25, 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement regarding Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins’s (R-KS) announcement that she will retire from Congress at the conclusion of the 115th Congress:

“Throughout her time in Congress, Lynn has been a good friend, a dedicated leader, and an outstanding public servant for Kansans. One of the things I appreciate most about Lynn is how she always speaks up clearly about how our work will impact people across her district, especially when it comes to helping students, farmers, and small businesses. Her real world perspective is tremendously helpful as we consider tax reform, health care, trade, and other important issues. I’m so glad we’ll continue to work together throughout the remainder of this Congress. Lynn will play a key role in pro-growth tax reform and replacing Obamacare, and I am confident that her contributions will help us deliver the results Americans deserve.”
