WASHINGTON, D.C. – The House Ways and Means Committee today announced the witnesses testifying before the Tax Policy Subcommittee on Thursday, July 13, at a hearing entitled “How Tax Reform Will Help America’s Small Businesses Grow and Create New Jobs.”
Teresa Meares, President, DGG Uniform and Work Apparel
Teresa Meares, a retired patrol sergeant with 19 years of law enforcement experience, is the President of DGG Uniform and Work Apparel. She manages 15 full-time and three part-time employees, who operate a distribution business of uniform and business apparel. Ms. Meares also manages Audibelle, an inspirational clothing line focused on girls between the ages of 13 and 17 which was launched by her daughter Kayla Meares.
Scott VanderWal, VanderWal Farms
Scott VanderWal is a third generation family farmer from Volga, in east central South Dakota. Mr. VanderWal’s family farm enterprise includes corn and soybean production, custom cattle feeding, and custom harvesting. Mr. VanderWal currently farms with his father, uncle, and son.
Rebecca Boenigk, CEO, Neutral Posture, Inc.
Rebecca Boenigk and her mother Jaye Congleton started manufacturing Neutral Posture chairs in their garage in 1989. Today, Neutral Posture Inc. manufactures ergonomic seating products and office, lab, and manufacturing accessories for the U.S. Government and Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
Chye-Ching Huang, Deputy Director, Federal Tax Policy, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
Chye-Ching Huang is Deputy Director, Federal Tax Policy with the Center’s Federal Fiscal Policy Team, where she focuses on the fiscal and economic effects of federal tax policy. Ms. Huang rejoined the Center in July 2011 after working as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland in New Zealand.
