Opportunity Zones Make Rural Health Training Center Possible in Butte, Montana

March 03, 2020

Opportunity Zone funding is boosting investment into a rural health training center in Butte, Montana.

The Praxis Center for Innovative Learning could bring 50 to 70 high-paying full-time jobs, and up to 35 part-time positions to the area.

The Praxis Center would focus on rural health practitioners by providing high-tech medical simulation training.

The project is estimated to have $32.3 million in local economic impact once completed. Opportunity Zone investment is critical to the project’s success, as forty percent of investment has come from opportunity zone investors.

The community estimates the project will be completed and the facility opened in 2022. You can read more about the project here.
