Washington, D.C. – Today, the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after the Senate passed an $8.3 billion supplemental package to assist with federal efforts to combat the coronavirus. This package cleared the House yesterday with broad support, and now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law:
“We’re putting Americans’ health and safety first by keeping treatments for the coronavirus accessible to those who need them, increasing the availability of tests to help ease the minds of American families, and supporting innovative public and private efforts to develop a vaccine. It will also offer an extra hand for our local businesses being impacted by this global. I hope this spirit of bipartisanship will continue in support of President Trump’s efforts to deal with this issue.”
