WASHINGTON—Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard E. Neal (D-MA) and the top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after the House passed a year-end funding and COVID relief package:
“This bipartisan agreement provides critical support for American workers, families, and small businesses,” Neal and Brady said. “They will get more resources to help them through this pandemic, surprise medical bills will now be a thing of the past, and our doctors and health care providers will receive more funding as we continue our work to defeat this virus. Our Committee members and staff worked hard to ensure this final bipartisan agreement delivered important relief, and we look forward to continuing our bipartisan work as a Committee in the new year.”
