Photos From the Field: 3 Moments from the Ways & Means Supply Chains Tax Team

This summer, the Ways and Means Committee Supply Chains Tax Team, led by Rep. Carol Miller (WV-01), hosted multiple field events to highlight the importance of building on the Trump Tax Cuts to promote investment, job growth, and American energy independence.

  1. Supporting American-Made Energy | Southwest Virginia 

Rep. Miller hosted a roundtable for members of Congress with CNX and stakeholders in the energy industry, followed by a tour of the company’s Mine Methane Capture Facility in Southwest Virginia.

2. Promoting American Energy Independence | Southern Ohio

Rep. Miller, joined by members of the Ways and Means Committee, led a tour of an Ascent Resources oil and natural gas rig to get a firsthand glimpse at the costs, resources, and processes behind oil and gas extraction in the American Midwest.

3. Economic Roundtables on Tax Relief | West Tennessee

Ways and Means Supply Chains Tax Team Vice Chair Rep. David Kustoff (TN-08) hosted roundtable discussions in Tennessee’s Hardin, Shelby, and Madison Counties with local certified public accountants (CPA), area chamber of commerce members, financial planners, small business owners, and economic development leaders to discuss the Trump Tax Cuts and ideas for how Congress can build on the success of the 2017 law to deliver tax relief to working families and businesses.
