WASHINGTON, D.C. – After Democrats rammed through their $3.5 trillion tax hikes on the Middle Class and Main Street businesses, top Republican on the Ways and Means Committee Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) joined Fox News this weekend to warn against Democrats’ $3.5 trillion tax hikes and economic surrender, which will kill jobs, worsen Bidenflation, and hook a new generation of Americans into government dependency. welfare with endless government checks.

On Fox News Live with Mike Emanuel, Rep. Brady said:

“This emergency spending – far beyond the emergency – will cripple our finances as a country in the future, much less the $3.5 trillion that they are proposing. At this point, it’s the Democrats’ responsibility. They’re doing the spending; they’re running everything in a partisan way.”

The last thing Americans need are Democrats’ tax hikes on Main Street and family businesses.

• The non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT)found that workers will shoulder the burden of the tax hikes and that within 10 years of a corporate tax increase, 66.3 percent of the corporate tax burden would be borne by lower- and middle-income taxpayers.
• It’s not just the JCT – analysis from the Left-leaning Tax Policy Centerfinds that President Biden’s overall tax plan will raise taxes on 75 percent of middle-class families next year, rising to 95 percent of middle-class families over the long term.
• The JCT also foundthat 25 percent of the burden of Democrats’ tax hikes would be borne by workers in slashed wages.
