Washington, D.C. – House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (MO-08) announced that the Ways and Means Committee will hold a field hearing on The One, Big, Beautiful, Bill Delivering for Small Business, Manufacturing, and Working Families. The hearing will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Orgill Innovation Center in Collierville, Tennessee. The Innovation Center helps independent hardware stores, lumberyards, and farm stores compete against big-box retailers. Small business owners come to test new store layouts, meet suppliers, and find new ways to serve their customers. Orgill supplies more than 13,000 of these locally owned businesses across North America.

“The Ways and Means Committee is once again holding a hearing outside of Washington to hear directly from the manufacturers, small businesses, and working families that keep Main Street running. These businesses create local jobs, serve their neighbors, and drive economic growth in the communities they call home. Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, Main Street businesses now have the certainty they need to invest in new equipment, expand their facilities, and hire more workers and take care of the employees they already have,” said Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (MO-08). “I look forward to hearing how pro-growth tax policy is helping small businesses grow and compete, and how Congress can continue to remove the barriers standing in their way.”
