THE WOODLANDS, TX – The top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after the Senate passed the phase three coronavirus relief package:

“Now that Senate has passed the CARES Act, the House must follow suit to take decisive action to protect our workers, families, and small businesses who will suffer the worst from inaction. This bill helps workers keep their jobs, helps local businesses ride out this storm, and ensures that furloughed workers can return to their livelihoods. Hospitals, doctors, and those on the front lines of this battle cannot afford to go this alone. I call on my colleagues to unite behind our President and those working to save lives and our economy, and I urge the Speaker to call for a vote as soon as humanly possible.”
