Brady: Phase II Coronavirus Package on Way to President’s Desk

March 18, 2020 — Coronavirus Bulletin    — Press Releases

WASHINGTON – The top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after the Senate passed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act:

“I am pleased the Senate approved the Families First Coronavirus Response Act with no additions. This recognizes that changes made in the House bill by GOP members on behalf of America’s small businesses allows the Treasury and Labor secretaries to successfully address the valid issues of cash flow, flexibility, and dollar-for-dollar funding in the emergency leave tax credit. Now the President will have the resources he needs to ensure free tests for all Americans, while getting support for workers and small businesses through paid leave. We are unified in our efforts to keep our economy moving while protecting the health and well-being of all Americans.”
