After the Federal Reserve’s preferred measure of inflation increased by 6.3 percent from the year previous, Ways and Means Republican Leader Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) issued the following statement:

“This latest report demonstrates just how cruel President Biden’s inflation-plagued economy can be for American families. Twenty-six million Americans have had their savings wiped out because of Biden-Flation, and others are skipping meals, relying on their credit card to pay for routine purchases, and even delaying their own retirement. With a recession almost certain, the only question is how much Democrats will prolong it with even more dangerous policies.”
