Brady Statement on MTB Becoming Law

September 13, 2018

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill Act of 2018 was signed into law:

“I want to applaud President Trump for signing this much-needed tax relief for America’s workers and job creators into law. After nearly eight years of hard work, we now have relief for our companies on products otherwise not made in America, allowing them to grow jobs here at home.

“This law will increase American competitiveness while keeping costs low for consumers. I look forward to continuing our work with President Trump as we modernize our trade agreements so that our manufacturers can continue to compete and win anywhere in the world.”
