Brady Statement on TPP Signing

Calls on White House to Address Congressional Concerns
February 3, 2016 — Press Releases

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ways and Means Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement after the United States Trade Representative (USTR) signed the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) today in New Zealand:

“A good TPP agreement will benefit the U.S. economy and create jobs at home. Members of Congress continue to raise significant questions about this agreement to make sure it is best for America. The Administration has a responsibility to address these concerns if it expects Congress to ultimately support and move forward with TPP.

“I continue to urge the Administration to work with Congress constructively, creatively, and flexibly to achieve this goal.”
