The Members stated: “Over the years, we havebeen actively working to obtain market access opportunities for our automakersin Japan. In that long-running effort, this most recent episode has had afamiliar feel to it. Just like in the past, the United States expended a massiveamount of energy, only to receive a helpful, but all-too-modest result.”
