Camp Requests All Records in Delphi Pension Decision

August 15, 2012

Washington, DC – Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) called on Obama Administration officials to detail its involvement in the termination of pensions for certain employees of the now-bankrupt Delphi.  Recent news reports indicate that the Obama Administration played an active role in picking winners and losers among Delphi’s retirees.

Camp requested that the Obama Administration officials provide all records, including but not limited to electronic mail to or from Treasury and the PBGC, the Executive Office of the President of the United States, and the Departments of Labor and Commerce that relate to Delphi and General Motors’ interest in Delphi.  All materials pertaining to the request are detailed in the letter and are to be submitted no later than September 7, 2012.
