Camp Statement on Delay of the Employer Mandate

July 03, 2013

Washington, D.C. – Today Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI) released the following statement after the Obama Administration announced a one-year delay of the health law’s employer mandate.

“The Obama Administration’s decision to give corporate America a free pass on the employer mandate while continuing to force average, everyday Americans to abide by the law is deeply disturbing, and it raises serious questions about the effects associated with the decision.  Worst of all, it does nothing to address the fact that healthcare costs for both employers and workers have climbed even higher as a result of this law – only further underscoring that the law has failed the American people.”
