Chairman Tiberi Announces Health Subcommittee Hearing on “Legislation to Improve and Sustain the Medicare Program”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Chairman Pat Tiberi (R-OH) today announced that the Subcommittee will hold a Member Day hearing entitled “Legislation to Improve and Sustain the Medicare Program.” The hearing will take place on Wednesday, June 8, at 2:00 PM in room 1100 of the Longworth House Office Building. This hearing will be an opportunity for Members of both parties to present their proposals for improving and sustaining the Medicare program.
Upon announcing the hearing, Chairman Tiberi said:
“Our recent subcommittee hearing on Medicare examined bold ideas to preserve and strengthen the program for today’s seniors and future generations. As we work toward comprehensive reform, we must continue our targeted efforts to ensure Medicare is meeting the needs of our seniors while also working well for providers, physicians, and taxpayers. Many of my colleagues in the House have worked diligently to develop and advance legislation for improving this important program. I look forward to hearing their ideas next week.”
