HOUSE PASSED: Proposals to Improve Medicare, Strengthen Families and Communities

February 6, 2018 — Press Releases

Washington, D.C. – House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) issued the following statement after the House voted to pass a continuing resolution (CR) that includes reforms to improve the Medicare program and extend specific Medicare policies, as well as provisions that will strengthen families and communities all across the country:

“Tonight, the House took action on important bipartisan policies that will positively impact millions of Americans. This legislation advances policies that are designed to support children and strengthen families and communities. It makes improvements to the Medicare program that will help ensure seniors and individuals with disabilities are receiving the care that they need and deserve. I want to thank all of the hardworking Members at Ways and Means for continuing to lead the way on policies that will improve the lives of people in Texas and across the country. I encourage the Senate to take swift action on this legislation.”
