New U.S. Chamber of Commerce Website Highlights Job Creation from Trade for All 50 States, 435 Congressional Districts

Pushes for Action on Job-Creating FTAs
June 16, 2011 — The Jobs Search
Yesterday, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce unveiled www.TradeSupportsJobs.com, a website highlighting U.S. exports and the jobs they create for all 50 states and all 435 Congressional Districts, reinforcing the need to act now on the pending trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea.

Passing the pending trade agreements is a sure-fire way to create good U.S. jobs and boost economic growth by opening new markets for U.S. goods and services – and it does not require one dime of new government spending.  Using President Obama’s own calculation, the three pending trade agreements will support 250,000 jobs spanning all sectors of our economy: manufacturing, services, and agriculture.  In these difficult economic times, Congress and the Administration owe it to American workers, businesses, and farmers to take all available steps to increase exports and the jobs they support.

Click on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce map below to find out how many jobs the three pending trade agreements could create both in your state and locally.
