January 10, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) today released the following statement after the House Steering Committee recommended Rep. Darin LaHood (R-IL) to serve on the Ways and Means Committee:

“I’m excited to welcome Congressman LaHood to our Committee. Since coming to Congress, Darin has been a champion for pro-growth policies that create more jobs and increase paychecks for hardworking families in Illinois and across the country. As a former federal and state prosecutor, Darin will bring an important new perspective to our Committee’s work. As workers, families, and job creators continue to see and feel the benefits of their new tax code, I look forward to having Darin on our team to continue taking action on policies that will improve lives.”
