This morning, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) joined Hugh Hewitt to preview tomorrow’s Tax Policy Subcommittee hearing – chaired by Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) – on how tax reform will help America’s small businesses grow and create new jobs.

As Chairman Brady said about tomorrow’s hearing:

“We’re holding a hearing … tomorrow, [led by] Chairman Peter Roskam, on small businesses. Where you’re going to hear in a major way how the current code is just killing them. And how the proposals we’re making – lower and simpler – full and immediate expensing – really are going to drive growth for small business.”

Starting your own small business is already hard enough – roughly 80 percent of small businesses are forced to close their doors within their first year. Sky-high tax rates and overly-complex tax laws are only two of the hurdles standing in the way of Main Street success. Without pro-growth tax reform, the current tax code will continue to discourage people from opening and expanding small businesses that are so critical to our communities and our nation’s economy.

Ways and Means Members have been meeting with small businesses in their districts, and tomorrow they will hear directly from even more small business owners about how tax reform will help them hire more workers, grow their businesses, and invest in their local community.

TUNE IN tomorrow at 10:00 AM ET to watch the Tax Policy Subcommittee hearing.
